He said people have the right to decline to be searched. However, in all cases there was probable cause for the searches, he said.
"You form the grounds at the time. The grounds that I had was that they were young people. They appeared intoxicated. They were with another group of people who were intoxicated. They had a backpack that was all lumpy and it was lumpy shaped like Coors Light cans. That sort of gave me grounds to do it, to be blunt."
Hey, is the city going to get serious about the four pillars. Looks like the Mayor is backpedaling this as fast as he can!
